One of my favourite actors, and he played these "bad ass" roles so well.....anyways, drawn with ballpoint pen. Critiques and comments are welcome.
Thanks for looking,

Martin

amazing likeness! the colors are perfect, it just looks too damn cool :D only i don't understand what's going on with the side of his face in the left side of the pic, it looks a bit too angled to me. but still, gotta fave this, hehe

Yeah...I know what you mean, but the reference was really really bad; however, that is why I chose is :D :D, so I guess I just drew what I saw on the reference picture. Well, thank you again for your support, I really appreciate it and hope to see some of your wonderful work soon!!

Sorry, I added this one earlier, and forgot to comment on it. (saw it, and had to get up and start drawing...thanks for the motivation by the way.) This is incredible, the likeness is spot on, and I love the whole feel of it.

Just a couple of questions...Any kind of special ball point pen, or just your everyday Bic variety? And how did you do that to the paper? The drawing itself is incredible, and with the addition of the texture in the paper, well it was an instant fav in my book...

Thank you very much for your kind comment...I am glad that it has inspired you, and it means a lot to me. To answer your questions:
I use the cheapest ballpoint pens, normal Bic, they sell them in US 12 in one pack, and I think they are incredible medium. The paper is easy to make, take any normal drawing paper and spill some coffee or tea over it or apply it with brush. :D

Awesome detail. I love what you did with the paper, too. That was a great idea!

Ok, that's what I thought it was, with the paper, I just didn't want to assume something else, and come out looking like an idiot. But isn't it funny, how sometimes the cheapest things make the best supplies. like my grandfather told me once, it's not the $100 pencil, brush, or whatever that makes the picture great...it's the person holding that pencil......

Hey, you're really creative :XD: That effect on the paper makes the drawing looks so old, it's really nice =D Awesome details on his face, from his wrinkles to his beard to his hair =D
